After three weeks of reading DMPs for the members of my tribe, I realize how the language of the subconscious mind is, at the same time, simple and difficult to grasp.
And also, we always discover new turns of phrases and word constructions that could be translated in a better form for the subconscious mind.
For example, if I write “I am so happy to be able to play golf by the 15th of April 2016 or before“, everything looks fine, a specific goal, present tense, feeling and target date makes the sentence understandable by the subconscious mind.
However, if I write instead “I am so happy to play golf by the 15th of April 2016 or before” this doesn’t sound the same as the previous sentence, does it?
“To be able to” means to have the possibility to be or do or have a thing, which is not exactly the same as to be, to do or to have that same thing.
Also, since our subconscious mind has strictly no intelligence, there is no way it can interpret abstraction.
A sentence is abstract each time an effort of the conscious mind is required to understand its meaning from its context.
For example, if I write “I have the money to travel the world. Hawaii, Thaïland and Madagascar are my favorite places for holidays.”
Looking at these two sentences from the viewpoint and with the analytical tools of the conscious mind makes it easy to understand: I decide to connect the two sentences together, then I deduce that Hawaï, Thaïland and Madagascar will be the next three destinations of my holidays, and I can easily calculate how much money I need to earn for this.
But for the subconscious mind, the impact of these two sentences will be very small, therefore very long to manifest, because it cannot relate the two sentences together, and also because “to have the money” leaves it powerless and static as it has no way to know how much is enough…
To decide whether a sentence is fit for the subconscious mind, I often ask myself if my sentence could be understood by my 3 year old grand daughter.
But even then I am taking a risk, because my grand daughter has probably 1000 times more intelligence than my brave, obedient and powerful subby!
In conclusion, congratulations to each of you, dear members of this 2015 MKMMA session, for having made the effort to master the language of the subconscious mind…This is certain to be one of your master keys to unlock the access to a bright future!
Great points, Luc. As a lover of the English language, I have really been enjoying the nuances of the language as we go through the MKMMA experience. Thank you for the wonderful, simple break down of how slight differences can make such a big difference to Subby.
