Week 14 was a quiet week, enjoying the view from the summit of the MKE mountain attained in week 13.
But everyone familiar with mountains knows that it is never wise to linger at the top because the conditions are tough over there.
We could easily lose the momentum and concentration of the journey we absolutely need for the descent, making the journey ending up as the ignominious failure of quitting!
And of course, nobody wants to finish like that!
As a guide, I felt proud for the members of my tribe who could all keep their so critical MKE routine during this daunting period of Christmas (I mean daunting for the routine).
During our post-Christmas tribe call, I found them all with a big smile on their face, proud of themselves as they should be to have overcome this “end-of-year-without-webinar” challenge.
Of course, the journey is far from finished, but from week 15 onward, they will already start to reap their first fruits for all their efforts during the 14 first weeks.
And the feeling of satisfaction coming from this achievement is usually sufficient to sustain the decreasing efforts required to finish the journey as they advance one week at a time…
In summary, Week 14 is the bridge between the first part of the journey, the “ascension” of Week 1 to 13, and the descent of Weeks 15 to 26.
The ascension is where the MKMMA Explorers have to mobilize all their courage, energy and faith to conquer the “unknown” because this is a place where fear and doubt can easily deter the bravest at any moment!
The descent is different because most of the ground is now known, however, it is still largely unfamiliar to the Explorers who must thus stay fully concentrated to develop their skills and avoid the fall on their way home.
Those who got the bravery to make it to the bridge and then to cross it have the most chances to achieve their MKE Hero’s Journey and, who knows, to become one day the absolute master of their human destiny!
